Scripting GUI

I know this is another one of my daft questions (thanks for the help
with the last lot by the way)Could anyone tell me how this GUI thing
works with Applescript?

I downloaded the extra software and installed it.

I want to control EyeTV and Movie Jukebox. Things like scrolling
around and selecting the right movie and then being able to pause and
play the programme. Can anyone help? I can't do this with normal
scripting if I understand right, but I can do it with this apple(GUI)
scripting yes?

Just a quick note to say Congrats to Jonas for his excellent Clicker
app.

I attended an Apple Australia developer's seminar on Monday and the
entire presentation (in Keynote) was controlled with a T68i and
Clicker. Not only that, but the showcase demo was of applescript
studio, and included building a simple game and writing scripts to
control the game with the T68 - very impressive stuff, especially for
those who hadn't seen Clicker before.

Hopefully such demos will increase the visibility of this great app and
help reward Jonas for his efforts.

Also to Jonas, I've paid for the software, that should indicate how much I like it.
But to our poster here, did they pass out any of the scripts they were
demonstrating with clicker, not the control ones, but the ones for the games,
anything like that. I have a few things I'd love to be able to do with clicker,
adjust the brightness, put the machine to sleep and wake it up, eject the CD
Drive, control the onscreen mouse with the joystick on the t68i. That's just to
name a few. Imagine the possibilities. Hell, I wish I knew AS better, trying to
figure more of it out now that I'm getting into it.
