FAQ: Salling Media Sync for Mac

Why is some video content not synced?

Most devices lack the playback capabilities of your computer. Salling Media Sync skips content that it knows has no chance of playing properly, and syncs content that may play giving you a warning that it may not play back correctly.

In order for all problematic content to play back properly, it needs to be transcoded into a compatible format (using compatible codecs). We are considering automatic transcoding for future versions of Salling Media Sync. For now, you may need to use 3rd-party software to transcode your video content.

For video podcasts, we recommend that you see if there's an alternative RSS-feed to which you can subscribe in iTunes, that offers video content in a format that your device can handle.
